Case study /Baby registry platform
NestBub: one baby registry for gifts from any store.
NestBub lets parents add gifts from any retailer to one shareable registry. We designed, built and run it. It’s marketed in Australia and the UK, and also supports New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and Europe.

The problem
A registry tied to a single store limits what parents can ask for and where guests can shop. Parents in Australia and New Zealand also often want a Wishing Well, where guests give money instead of a gift, and that doesn’t fit a standard shopping list.
What we built
- Registry accounts with one link to share with family and friends
- Adding gifts from any retailer, with affiliate links to stores
- Wishing Well notes and links to external gift cards
- Gift tracking, so guests don’t double up
- Regional support across six marketed and supported regions
- An admin CMS for running the site and its content
Decisions that shaped it
- Universal rather than tied to one store
- Parents can use the retailers they already trust, and we can earn affiliate income without holding stock.
- Wishing Well gifts are arranged directly
- Guests and parents arrange these between themselves, which keeps the product simple and suits how they’re often given in practice.
What this means for your website
Testing is why a website keeps working
NestBub’s 120 browser test files check real journeys before each release. A small business site needs far less, but the habit is the same: before launch, we check every enquiry form, phone link and booking on a real phone-sized screen, so you don’t lose customers to something broken.
