What I’ve built

You shouldn’t have to take my word for any of this, so here’s what you can check for yourself.

• Seven live products. I designed, built and run them, from a baby registry to invoicing and payslip software. Read the case studies or try the products themselves.
• Open source. I created You Don’t Need Lodash/Underscore in 2016. It’s a popular JavaScript reference with more than 19,000 stars on GitHub.
• A public record. My GitHub profile goes back to 2013, with libraries such as react-hover.
• This website. Put it through our free website check and see how it scores.

Price

Websites start from $1,990 + GST. You get a fixed quote in writing, and if the scope changes, we agree on the change before I do the extra work.

Ownership

Your code, domain, content and accounts are yours. A care plan is optional, month to month, and you keep your site if you stop.

How we’d decide what to build

You’ll see a free concept of your homepage before you commit to anything, so you can judge the real thing and not a promise. What’s included then goes in writing with the quote.

If I think an idea will cost you customers, I’ll tell you why, and you make the call. I’ll also tell you if you don’t need me. For a side project or a tight budget, a site builder like Wix is often the better choice.

What you can hold me to

The written quote is the agreement. If a page, form or feature I deliver doesn’t work the way the quote says, I’ll fix it.

That covers my own work. It doesn’t cover later edits by someone else, or an outage at an outside provider, and we’ll spell out anything less clear when I hand the site over.

A straight answer about examples

The six sample websites on this site are concept demos for fictional businesses, and they’re labelled that way. The seven products are real, and you can use them today.
